Alfalfa

This bed is two weeks old it had alfalfa in between the rows.  In the next two pictures you will see rows planted last week and how much alfalfa I use. Most of the alfalfa has broken down or the worms ate it in this bed. I will put more as soon as I get time.  We raised red worms in my younger days, when we could not get cow manure for our worn beds we used alfalfa. Alfalfa is just unprocessed cow manure.

This bed was planted last week. Notice the alfalfa has already broke down quite a bit on the bottom of the picture, it was planted last Monday. The upper part of the picture was done last Wednesday. The worms have already eat a lot of it.
